As per Government guidelines we are now able to re-open Ferndale House from Saturday July 4th.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our guests back but there will be measures in place that we all must follow for the safety of our guests and ourselves.

If you have any covid-19 symptoms please do not travel. Contact us to arrange a refund/ amendment to your reservation.

If you begin to show any symptoms whilst staying at Ferndale House please do not leave your room, nor should anyone else who is sharing the room with you. Please telephone us on 01594 861294 as soon as possible so we can arrange the appropriate help for you.

There will be Hand Sanitiser at the front door, please ensure all members of your party use this on arrival. There will also be Hand Sanitiser outside each room to use when entering/ leaving.

As we have narrow “pinch points” in the building, one metre social distancing may not always be possible, we have marked out a safe area on the first floor landing to step into in the case of meeting another guest allowing you to pass on the landing at a safe distance. There is also a marked out safe area in Reception in the case of meeting other guests entering or leaving. This may be especially relevant at check-in/ check-out times.
It is recommended that guests wear facial coverings in the public areas of the bed and breakfast.

Due to these pinch points we have decided, even with social distancing now being reduced to one metre and for safety reasons, we will only be offering a Room Service Continental Breakfast rather than using our Dining Room. If you have any dietary requirements eg- Gluten Free/ Allergies etc please let us know well in advance.

If you are staying in The Lodge, the Continental Breakfast will be available for you in the kitchenette. There will be Hand Sanitiser in The Lodge for you to use when arriving/ leaving. Please do not remove from the accommodation.

There will be extra regular cleaning of all communal areas during your stay and we have completed a Covid-19 Risk Assessment for the Bed and Breakfast.

We understand that staying with us may be different from what you are used to but please be assured we will do our best to make sure that you enjoy your stay and we ask that you please bear with us in these unusual times.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
